A discussion on current issues in the Indo-Pacific region will take place in the Great Hall of the Faculty of Social Sciences on 24 May at 6 pm.

The event marks the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Slovenia. The panel will discuss salient issues concerning the stability of the contemporary international community in general, and in the Indo-Pacific in particular; what is (or can be) Europe's role in the Indo-Pacific; and how can Slovenia contribute to addressing and resolving problems in it. The panellists are Ms. Zorana Baković, a renowned journalist and expert on the region, HE Mr. Jernej Müller, the incoming Ambassador of Slovenia to South Korea, Mr. Emil Stojanovski, Deputy Ambassador of Australia, and Professor Zlatko Šabič, Head of the EARL (East Asia Resource Library). The panel will be moderated by Nina Pejič, MA, (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences).
