Director General Šabič on a visit to Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 26 November, dr. Zlatko Šabič, Director General of the EARL, travelled to Seoul to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. He met with Ambassador for Public Diplomacy, Ms Enna Park. DG Šabič presented Ambassador Park with the first issue of the EARL Newsletter. He praised the active participation of Korean academia, diplomats and business people in shaping the program of events of the EARL. Both underscored the importance of continuous support of the Republic of Korea to the EARL and look forward to exciting new events presenting Korea and Korean studies. Ambassador Park participated in the 2017 Bled Strategic Forum and on that occasion she briefly visited the EARL. DG Šabič expressed hope that the Ambassador will visit again sometime soon to see in person the progress of the EARL moving toward becoming a unique resource hub for East Asian studies.
