Conference: “The Future of Asia-Europe Relations in the Post Covid-19 World”

Student Think Tank for Europe-Asia Relations (STEAR) kindly invites you to apply to their first Annual Conference, titled “The Future of Asia-Europe Relations in the Post Covid-19 World.” The conference will take place online on 6 – 7 November 2021, and is sponsored by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. 

This is a unique opportunity for students and young professionals interested in Asia-Europe relations to attend workshops, which will include lectures by researchers, diplomats and UN professionals from around the globe. The workshops will conclude with a Policy-Writing Competition, for which participants will form international teams of up to five people, collaborating on tackling a live-policy issue. Each team will present their ideas at the conference, and will get the chance to discuss it with a leading international diplomat. The winners will have their recommendations published. The conference will also include networking sessions and speeches by distinguished speakers such as Igor Driesmans, EU Ambassador to ASEAN and Toru Morikawa, Executive Director, Asia-Europe Foundation.

Participation is open to 40 students and young professionals between 18 and 30 years of age, who will participate in different activities before and after the conference. Applications are open until August 31.
