Successfully conducted webinar: The Taiwan model for pandemic management and lessons for Slovenia
During the recent outbreak of Covid-19, many countries came under the spotlight due to their (in)efficient response to the virus. Taiwan was expected to have one of the toughest crisis related to the virus due to its proximity and ties to China, where the outbreak caused a complete lockdown of Wuhan. However, defying these expectations, Taiwan kept the number of cases low. How was Taiwan able to keep its number of infections and deaths so low? How will the Covid-19 crisis affect Taiwan's standing in the international community and its future?

The library’s reading rooms will reopen on June 8 2020

Daily newspapers and magazines cannot be used, nor can the computer room, study cells and lockers.Please disinfect your hands upon arrival and departure and respect the safety distance. The number of reading places is limited and the chairs are not allowed to be moved.

Round table discussion »The Taiwan model for pandemic management and lessons for Slovenia«
What can we learn from the Taiwanese approach? The round table, organised by the Taiwan Study Center and the East Asian Resource Library, on the topic of »The Taiwan model for pandemic management and lessons for Slovenia« will address the lessons to be learned from Taiwanese response to the virus outbreak and the ways the crisis affected the international community’s perceptions toward Taiwan and its surrounding region.

Trial access to e-resources
During this time COSEC, CTL and UL libraries are organizing trial accesses to databases, e-books and e-journals. Trial accesses are generally till the end of June or in some cases till the end of July.

Access to the De Gruyter Publishers journals
We got access to over 240 journals of the publisher De Gruyter. Access to the De Gruyter Online is available to students, employees and other users on the basis of IP authentication from the locations of the faculties of UL, CTL and NUL and also through remote access for students and employees of UL and CTL and for all members of NUL.
