EARL hosted two lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chikako Shigemori Bučar and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nataša Visočnik from Department of Asian Studies, University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts.

His Excellency, Mr Dong-ik Shin will be visiting Slovenia. On that occasion the Korean delegation will pay a visit to Faculty for Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, where they will have a look at Korean corner in EARL and meet the deans of both faculties.

On 18 December, dr. Zlatko Šabič, Director General of the EARL, met with dr. Shu-hsien Tseng, Director-General of the National Central Library's Center for Chinese Studies. He updated her on developments in the EARL since the opening of the Taiwan Resource Centre for Chinese Studies (TRCCS) on 24 May this year.

On Tuesday, 12 December 2017, Dr. Linas Didvalis from the Centre for Asian Studies, Vytautas Magnus University gave a lecture on Japan’s role in advancing regional forest governance in Southeast Asia.

On 26 November, dr. Zlatko Šabič, Director General of the EARL, travelled to Seoul to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea. He met with Ambassador for Public Diplomacy, Ms Enna Park.

On Wednesday, 29 November 2017, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted the event celebrating 25th Anniversary of Indonesia - Slovenia Bilateral Relations, co-organised by the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Slovenia.
