Sampling, Weighting and Estimation in Survey Methodology

The second SERISS training course “Sampling, Weighting and Estimation in Survey Methodology” will be held on 24th-25th April 2017 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The course will be instructed by Stefan Zins (GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Mannheim) and Matthias Sand (GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in Mannheim).

No prior knowledge of sampling theory is assumed, but  students should be comfortable with statistical concepts such as hypothesis  testing, variance, standard errors, confidence intervals, etc. Also basic understanding of survey methodology and understanding of R is required for this course (at  a beginners level).

25 participants will be given the chance to attend training course. There will be no tuition fees or accommodation costs for all participants, who will be selected from the applications received. Lunch will be provided on both days and a group dinner will be held on the first evening.
