Visiting lectures by prof. Gerd Oberleitner from the Graz University


Oberleitner_resizeOn 15 and 16 December 2015, the Chair of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted Professor Gerd Oberleitner from the Institute of International Law and International Relations at the University of Graz. He is a regular guest lecturer within the course titled Selected Issues in International Law, which is an obligatory course of the Postgraduate Programme of International Relations (main lecturer: Prof. Bojko Bučar).

Professor Oberleitner is a lecturer at the Institute of International Law and International Relations at the University of Graz. He is a co-founder of the European Training and Research Centre for Human Rights and was several years Centre's Executive Secretary. As a Visiting Professor he lectured at several universities, such as London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Université du Quebéc à Montréal, the European Inter-University Centre in Venice. His current research interests are international human rights law, the law of international organisations, the law of armed conflict, and human security. His recent book is Human Rights in Armed Conflict - Law, Practice, Policy (Cambridge University Press, 2015). He published several books, articles and book chapters.
